Gladiator Voltron Pilots/Characters

Daisaku Enjoji

Pilot of the Alpha Robot.

Agile expert in the martial art of Kendo (the Way of the Sword).

Thinks swiftly and accurately.  He is often in competition with Goro, mostly because of the beautiful Hotaru.

Tesuya Jin

Pilot of the Beta Robot.

Expert mechanic, is tactical and strong.

Dangerous and calculating towards the end of the series.

Hotaru Mizuki

Pilot of the Gamma Robot.

Daughter of Prof. Mizuki.  She is sweet, but she is determined in the fight against the Derinja.

Professor Mizuki


Scientist responsible for the modification of the three top robots of the scholastic competition. Thanks to his modification, the three robots can form Albegas. 

Saiko Asabuki


Assistant of Professor Mizuki.  After the last cliffhanger and the defeat of the Derinja, Saiko marries Mizuki.

Goro Kumai

 

Best friends with Daisaku.

Pilot of the Gori Robot, which is a personally constructed gorilla robot built for the competition that garnered much attention from the three pilots of Albegas.

The Derinja


 

**Note** Derinja is translated to be Derringer/Dellinger in English.  However, since the show never got dubbed, I have left it in Japanese.

They are the adversary of the original inhabitants from the Deral planet.

In truth they are from the same part of the planet; in fact, the planet is thriving with living organisms. They then send the new troops to the conquest of new worlds from which to draw energy.

The Derinja are as fragile as human beings, but they are equipped with an armor that renders them more formidable.

The commanders of the Derinja are:

Commander Dani, whom is taken from the Rimorso.  He then betrays it's people before dying;

General Daston;

Azen president, head of the Derinja;

Daigo Baron; Katastora;

Mira zero, is the only female commander.
